About
I'm William Stafford Parsons, an entrepreneur and software engineer turned computer science researcher and minimalist game developer.
As a recreational hobby, I create tiny offline browser games that are fun to play and blow off some steam for a few minutes at a time with high-quality, smooth gameplay on modern desktop web browsers using pure CSS, HTML and JavaScript.
Furthermore, I have an uncommon affinity for denying impossibility, noticing patterns, approaching common problems unconventionally and applying simplicity. As an additional recreational hobby, I conduct open computer science research in the area of creating improved fundamental algorithms and data structures.
The results from my independent, unfunded research are capable of setting timeless software engineering standards in popular programming languages for energy-efficient, high-performance, practical computing when applied to systems such as databases, game development engines, internet network infrastructure and web browser JavaScript engines.
As a professional career, I aspire to both contribute to popular open-source projects and provide solid data processing tools that maintain client-side privacy as a convenience to end users.
